Animated film
2019
An exhilarating depiction of transparency, reflection and refractions, through digital interpretations of light, glass and liquid in different states.
Commissioned by Output, Prisma is an animated film intended for an installation space, to create the immersive experience of being inside an LHS glass sculpture, during the physical process of transitioning from a liquid to a solid.
The curved and tactile forms intended for Prisma as an installation, create an additional dimension and illusionary element, working in unison with the projected visual content.
Prisma aims to bridge the boundary between the digital and physical worlds of LHS, inspired by Isaac Newton’s prism theory and the human perception of colour.
The viewer witnesses the changing phases of matter through frequencies of colour in transparent objects, going from colourless, to spectral, to separation.
